Founded by Adriano Ramos Pinto in 1880, Ramos Pinto quickly became noted for its strategy of innovation and pioneering. In the early twentieth century arrives in Brazil, which led to rapidly become responsible for half of the wine exported to South America. At the same time it continued to grow its reputation in Portugal and Europe, becoming a brand reference of quality and excellence.
Adriano Ramos Pinto had a great taste for culture and instilled this philosophy at Ramos Pinto, building a museum in Quinta da Ervamoira, intended for environmental, oenological, archaeological and anthropological research of the Côa Valley.
Throughout its history and after a search of the best places to focus on the winery art, Ramos Pinto acquired the Estates of which now its flagship wines ar produced, they are the Quinta da Ervamoira, Quinta do Bom Retiro, Quinta dos Bons Ares and Quinta da Urtiga.
